April is Bowel Cancer Awareness Month, Pauline at 36 was diagnosed with stage 4 bowel cancer 6 months after her son was born and 2 years after Pauline first noticed changes in her bowel movements. Pauline shares with us her story and the importance of knowing your body and noticing any changes. As a Mum of two young children nearly 1 & 3 Pauline shares how her approach changed soon after diagnosis from initial Anger to fighting. Recognizing that it was a waste of energy to be angry Pauline now spends her time focusing on what can be done, having first met her oncologist being really struck by how positive she was, it felt positive, and it was a plan an element of control in a time of no control. Pauline stresses the need for early diagnosis as when caught early Bowel Cancer is totally treatable.
